The Oak Ridge Senior Center is offering a new exercise class for those 50 and over. The class will be taught by long time Oak Ridge resident and fitness instructor, Charlotte Hensley, and will focus on regaining strength and flexibility. The class is open for all fitness levels but will be particularly good for those who are getting ready for any kind of orthopedic surgery or recovering from surgery.
The class will be governed by Charlotte’s philosophy of improving the whole body by exercising safely and correctly using proper form and pacing. She believes that regardless of age, sex, size or handicap, there is a safe effective exercise program for everyone. However, participants should check with their doctor or healthcare provider before beginning any fitness program.
The class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. beginning April 2nd. The cost is $18.00 per month. Space in the class is limited, so please call the Senior Center at (865) 425-3999 to reserve a spot as soon as possible.
