The City of Oak Ridge would like to update the public regarding the March 2014 City Council regular meeting.

During the December 9, 2013 City Council meeting, City Council approved a resolution that typically set City Council meeting dates to occur on the second Mondays of each month.  In March, however, the National League of Cities (NLC) is holding their annual Congressional City Conference in Washington, D.C. during the week in which Council would have scheduled their regular meeting.

In an effort to avoid scheduling conflicts, the March meeting date has been altered and City Council will meet on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building Courtroom.  This new date will allow for full participation of City Council during the March 3 meeting, and will better afford an opportunity for council members to attend this year’s Congressional City Conference in D.C. so that the council can connect with fellow city leaders and learn more about issues affecting local government.

The agenda for this meeting will be available by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014 on the City’s website at or in the City Clerk’s Office.

The public is encouraged to attend the March 3, 2014 meeting of City Council.
