During the deliberations for the proposed FY2013 General Fund Budget, an increase in Recreation and Parks Department facility rental fees, admission fees and non-resident fees was proposed to help off-set rising operating and maintenance costs. The fees increase was included in the FY2013 General Fund Budget approved by City Council in May of this year. Implementation of the fees increase was delayed until the start of the calendar year to give sports teams and facility users additional planning time to prepare for the increase.
