The City of Oak Ridge Recreation & Parks Department has contracted with First Place Finish, Inc., of Oak Ridge, TN for the construction of a sidewalk in Briarcliff Park.

The sidewalk will provide a connection from the parking lot to the playground, improving accessibility of the playground. Additional upgrades planned for the park include the installation of an accessible water fountain and a new swing set with an accessible swing seat. These upgrades will complement accessibility upgrades performed at the park in 2003.

Sidewalk construction is scheduled to begin Wednesday, September 26th and is expected to be completed by Friday, September 28th.

The public is asked to use caution in the park while construction activities are taking place. The schedule may change in the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
