A contractor, working for the City, is presently performing sewer rehabilitation work to improve the City sewer system in the Emory Valley area.  Beginning Wednesday, February 1, 2012, intermittent traffic lane and Emory Valley Greenway Path closures will occur on Emory Valley Road between the west end of Briarcliff Avenue and Carnegie Drive.

This work is anticipated to take a total of three weeks.  These closures are not expected to last more than a few hours at a time.  Unforeseen circumstances or inclement weather could cause delays.  Motorists may want to seek alternate routes; however, local traffic will be able to access homes and businesses located in the area.

The City appreciates the public’s patience with these closures.  Questions or comments can be directed to the City of Oak Ridge Public Works Department at 425-1875.
