Municipal Building Entrance Closes for Sidewalk Construction

The “Court and Public Safety” entrance of the Oak Ridge Municipal Building will be closed until Friday, July 29, 2011.

The Public Works Department will be replacing the sidewalk near that entrance as well as making the area more accessible to the public for viewing of the new historical monuments.

The “Court and Public Safety” entrance is near the Records Office of the Police Department and the Municipal Building Courtroom. The public is encouraged to use the “Administration” entrance for convenient access to that section of the municipal building.

This work and the estimated closure are both dependent on the weather. The Public Works Department apologizes for any inconvenience this entrance closing may cause.
