Cedar Hill Playground Ribbon Cutting Ceremony May 22
The community is invited to attend a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Cedar Hill Playground on Sunday, May 22, at 4:30 p.m. at Cedar Hill Park.
The ceremony marks the conclusion of the Cedar Hill Park Playground Rebuild Project that first began in November with Design Day when the Oak Ridge Elementary students provided their ideas as to what features they would like to see at the new playground.
Now those ideas are becoming a reality as the community works together to build the playground for the children.
“I have really enjoyed watching the community working together to make this playground rebuild a success,” remarked City Manager, Mark Watson. “I hope that everyone who was involved in this project in some way will come out on Sunday and be a part of the ribbon cutting ceremony. It is important to celebrate and see the faces of the excited children eager to explore the new playground designed by them and for them.”
The ceremony will finish at 5 p.m. with a special countdown from City Council and a “ribbon” cutting to open up the new playground.
