Turkey Hunt Scouting Day This Saturday, April 2
There will be a turkey hunt scouting day this Saturday, April 2
nd
. This will be for hunters scheduled for the hunts of April 9-10 and April 16-17. Scouting is permitted from
7 a.m. to noon
. Only those with valid permits will be allowed to scout, except one non-hunting juvenile under the age of 16 may accompany an adult hunter (18 years of age or older) who has a valid Oak Ridge WMA Quota Turkey Hunt Permit, excluding the Tower Shielding Facility. Hunters
may not
possess firearms or archery equipment during the scouting day. The check station will be open from 7:30 a.m. until noon on the scouting day to answer any hunter questions. The phone number at the check station is (865) 576-2380.
