Tree Limb or Shrub Trimming

The Oak Ridge Public Works Department would like to remind residents and property owners that it is important to maintain trees and shrubs on their property that grow near roadways and sidewalks to prevent them from causing a hazard to pedestrians and motorists.

The diagrams at the bottom of the page illustrate the minimum trimming requirements for each hazard type.

Growth creating a hazard can be a violation of City Code. Please contact the Oak Ridge Public Works Department at (865) 425-1875 or the Code Enforcement Division at (865) 425-3532 with any questions.
