oak ridge: Little known facts and hidden stories

World Wise Wednesdays presents Oak Ridge: Little Known Facts and Hidden Stories on October 20th at 12:00pm.

Join our local history specialist, Mike Stallo, as he shares true stories and trivial facts about Oak Ridge that have been lost to the ages; from stories of some of the more eccentric and interesting scientists who visited and worked here, to unusual celebrity visits to town, to accounts of crimes that occurred right under the nose of some of the tightest security in the world.

Register for the webinar here.
Once you register, you will receive an email about how to access the program.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Oak Ridge Public Library.

Leveraging TennesSsee Electronic Library (TEL) Resources for Home Learning

Whether you are a concerned parent or student attempting to counter learning loss from the past year’s suspension of face-to-face class room instruction or are a homeschooling family wanting to complement learning objectives with an existing curriculum, the Tennessee Electronic Library is an excellent, cost-free resource to enrich educational attainment. From test prep resources such as ACT and SAT to foreign language programs, and Gale One File for academic journal articles and much, much more, this hour-long webinar will equip students and parents to get the most out of TEL. This webinar will be on October 28th at 1:00pm.
