The service allows patrons to browse the library’s website, check out with a valid library card, and download eBooks and audiobooks to PC, Mac, and many mobile devices. Before downloading the first time, though, patrons will need to install free software to their devices. For audiobooks, OverDrive Media Console will be available as a free download from the website. To read eBooks, some patrons will need to install Adobe Digital Editions which is also available as a free download on the website. Titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPad, Kindle, Nook, and many others. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen to on-the-go. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period, which means there will never be any late fees!
