As a public service we offer free display space with 4 window displays in the hallway and a circular case in the Main Library.  Displays are available with following conditions.
  • Space is available to non-profit, service and arts related community organizations who wish to inform     the public of the purpose and scope of their particular group.  They are also open to individuals who wish to display their special hobby or collection.
  • City sponsored displays have priority at the discretion of the Library Director.

Display space is not available:

  • For commercial purposes or to promote commercial purposes.
  • To promote any political, religious, personal, group, or association's beliefs, opinions or positions.
  • To individuals that advocate or encourage discrimination of any person because of sex, race, national    origin, or religion.
  • Any display including nudity.

The hallway display cases are 46"x46"x10" deep, with glass shelving available.  You must supply all of your materials including thumb tacks, backdrops, tape, etc.  Displays should be placed on the 1st of the month and must be removed on the last day of the month.  If you display isn't in the case by the 5th of the month, the space will be reassigned.  The cases do have locks, but neither the City of Oak Ridge nor the Oak Ridge Public Library will be liable for any damage or theft of displayed materials.

The Oak Ridge Public Library reserves the right to ask an organization to dismantle and/or change a display if it is not in conformity with the policies, procedures & regulations for such displays.
