Imagination Library
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library will help you read with your child. Every child from birth to 5 years old will receive books of their very own, at no cost to you, thanks to Oak Ridge Associated Universities and Dolly Parton. Every child between birth and 5 years old is eligible regardless of income.
Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child's name directly to your home. He/She can look forward to new and exciting reading adventures from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library until he/she turns 5 years old as long as you remain a resident of Anderson County. Should you move outside Anderson County, you will need to contact the local library in the city/county you move to. Each area has local sponsors for the program.
To sign up you will need to submit an official registration form, completely filled out by a parent or guardian. You can pick up registration forms in the Children's Room at the Library, or click on the logo above to be brought to the official Imagination Library website. You will need to notify ORAU any time your address changes. Books are mailed to the address listed on the official registration form.
You can contact them at (865) 576-3300.
If you know a preschool child in Anderson County who is not receiving Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, give their parents a brochure / registration form and encourage them to fill it out and mail it to the address on the form. Telling them about this FREE program can make a huge difference in their future and the future of our community.
