UPDATE: Tennessee Avenue Road Reconstruction Project

Nov 16, 2018 - A final stage of the Tennessee Avenue Project has been delayed due to wet weather. Paving is now expected to begin prior to Thanksgiving. The affected section of Tennessee Avenue will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

Union Valley Road Closure to Begin November 16

Nov 15, 2018 - A City contractor is working to replace a collapsed drainage tile under Union Valley Road. This project will require a portion of Union Valley to be closed beginning November 16 and lasting at least two days.

Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony Set for November 30

Nov 13, 2018 - The Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department is teaming up with the Recreation and Parks Advisory Board to co-sponsor the Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting. The ceremony is set for November 30 in A.K. Bissell Park.

Nov 05, 2018 - The Oak Ridge Public Library will be closed on Thursday, November 8, for a staff workday. Originally planned as a two-day closure that would extend into Friday, staff no longer needs the additional time. The library will be open for normal hours November 9.
