Centennial Golf Course Announces New General Manager

Jan 22, 2018 - The City has completed its management transition at Centennial Golf Course and is pleased to announce the new general manager: Mike Callender. As of January 21, all golf course operations fall under the Recreation and Parks Department.

City Council Work Session Rescheduled for January 23 Due to Weather

Jan 19, 2018 - The January work session of Oak Ridge City Council was rescheduled due to winter weather that affected much of the region. The new date is set for January 23. The session will still be a joint meeting with the Oak Ridge Board of Education.

National Nuclear Security Administration to Hold Information Session

Jan 12, 2018 - NNSA will hold an information session on January 24 at Scarboro Community Center. The session will focus on the Y-12 National Security Complex, the Uranium Processing Facility project and the work involved in building a replacement electrical substation at Y-12.

Turtle Park Sewer Rehabilitation Project Update #12

Jan 12, 2018 - Work will continue on several new streets next week to rehabilitate sewer collection pipes in the Turtle Park Sewer Shed. Areas affected by phase two of the project include City easements in yards and in roadways.

New Tai Chi Class Offered at Oak Ridge Senior Center

Jan 11, 2018 - The Tennessee branch of the Taoist Tai Chi Society of the USA will start a beginner Tai Chi class at the Oak Ridge Senior Center later this month. Classes will be held Mondays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon.
