OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (June 5, 2020) – During the month of June, the public may continue viewing live-streamed meetings of the Oak Ridge Municipal Planning Commission, or may choose to attend in person, though space is limited.  

A business work session will be held on Thursday, June 11 at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Court Room. The Regular June Business Meeting will be held on Thursday, June 18 at 5:30 p.m., also in the Court Room, located at 200 South Tulane Avenue, Oak Ridge, TN.  A policy work session is scheduled for Thursday, June 25 at 5:30 p.m.

Planning Commission meetings will be streamed online at oakridgetn.gov/online/streaming and recordings will be available to view on the City’s website within two business days.

Interested citizens are encouraged to check the City’s website regularly for Planning Commission meeting dates, agendas, and updated information. All meeting agendas are posted prior to each meeting, generally by Friday afternoon, and can be found at oakridgetn.gov/boardsandcommissions.aspx?Planning-Commission.

Anyone who wishes to express comments about an item on the business agenda, especially if they are unable to attend the meeting in person, may submit comments to commdev@oakridgetn.gov or by post to City of Oak Ridge - Planning Commission, PO Box 1, Oak Ridge, TN 37831.  

Comments received by 12 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020 will be shared with Planning Commission members and will be included in the public record as part of the Business Meeting. Written comments should include the author’s name and address for the record, similar to speaking in person at the meeting.

For attendees, certain measures will be taken to protect the public health, safety, and welfare in light of COVID-19, such as body temperature screening and spaced seating arrangement within the Court Room.
