SALARY RANGE: Pay Group 21 ($40,830-$59,061 per year)


1. Install, configure, troubleshoots and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN access, and wireless access points.

2. Install, configure and maintain Microsoft servers and software including MS-Exchange and MS-SQL. 

3. Repair and troubleshoot PCs and associated devices such as printers, scanners, telephones, and camera systems. 

4. Install, maintain, and upgrade network software including filtering, backup, and antivirus applications.

5. Provide excellent customer support and resolve user problems with personal computer hardware, software, networks and peripheral equipment in a Windows environment.


1. Associates’ Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent certification and/or two (2) years of work experience providing network support and technical support to microcomputer users.

2. Skill in the installation and use of various networking tools and applications. Experience with Cisco routers, firewalls, and switches preferred.

3. Skill in the use of midrange and personal computer hardware and peripheral devices.

4. A comprehensive knowledge of current personal computer hardware, software and network trends in the industry and a working knowledge of telecommunications and networking.

5. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to relate technical information to non-technical personnel.

6. Must pass a background check for security requirements.
