Oak Ridge City Council to Host City Council's "Night Out" at Glenwood School on April 25, 2011
The Oak Ridge City Council will host Council's "Night Out" on Monday, April 25th at Glenwood Elementary School, 125 Audubon Road. The event will be held in the school’s gymnasium beginning at 6:30 p.m.
A neighborhood social will be held from 6:30 p.m.—7:00 p.m. followed by the City Council’s monthly work session. The public is invited to attend.
City Council began hosting “Night Out” events in 2005, holding meetings at various locations throughout the community.
“City Council enjoys the ‘Night Out’ events because we have an opportunity to meet citizens in an informal setting,” stated Oak Ridge Mayor Tom Beehan. “This format allows us to bring City Hall to the neighborhoods, and we encourage citizens to come out and discuss issues of importance to them and the community.”
