Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department Introduces New Aquatic Exercise Program, Aqua Power

The Oak Ridge Recreation and Parks Department is introducing a new aquatic exercise program, Aqua Power. The instructor will be Janice Greenwood, who holds numerous certifications in exercise programs and also instructs the Pilates class held at the Civic Center. This program is geared toward participants who wish to receive a workout in the water; individuals will be encouraged to work at their own pace. Participants do not have to be able to swim or get their hair wet.

Classes will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 7:30-8:30pm. The fee is $42 for a six week session or $5.00 per class. The first session will start March 21st and end April 27th. This is a great opportunity to explore the benefits of exercising in water without having to make a long term commitment.

You may register at the Civic Center Front Desk before each class. For further information please call 425-3450 and/or visit www.orrecparks.org for more information on all of the Recreation and Parks Department programs.
